Asthma Support Group
Asthma is a disease of the human respiratory system where the airways narrow, often in response to a "trigger" such as exposure to an allergen, cold air, exercise, or emotional stress. This airway narrowing causes symptoms such as wheezing, shortness of breath, chest tightness, and coughing, which respond to bronchodilators.

does anyone experience your airways closing totally. It comes on me so suddenly and teh only help is liquid predizone - that usually opens it enought to use the rescue inhaler. Then I do a nebulizer treatment. This happened this morning and now my throat is a little sore and am a little hoarse. I have been diagnosed with asthma but dont' know it that is what is causing this - the pollen is very thick right now but this usually happens if I swallow wrong. anyone else?

I have feel like it was very hard to get air to my lung before. I know that can be scared. My throat can be dry in the morning too. I alway keep something near by to drink. I sleep on a lot of pillows. That can help you breathing at night. I can not sleep flat on one pillows. I hope you feel better soon. Take it easy and get a lot of rest. Hugs

I've had bad attacks in the morning where I find it very hard to get air in and out. It feels like there's an elephant sitting on my chest and I can barely talk or sound really hoarse. It happened this morning and it took six puffs of ventolin for me to finally be able to breathe properly! My lips get pale and bluish when it happens. I'm not sure if it has anything to with how I sleep since it doesn't happen every morning. It's very scary!

On Saturday, while I was at yard sales with my best friend, my lawn guy texted me that he did my lawn. This costs me $70 every two weeks or so. I don't have great grass so sometimes, he skips. Anyway, I paid him on CashApp when I got home. On Sunday morning, he texted me again, to say goodbye because he was moving. My little thinking cap went on and I thought about how I am healthier...
