While there are some things you write about that seem like Asperger's there have been a number of posts that really don't. This is one.

You could have of course, more than one disorder.

I can't remember if you have actually been diagnosed with Asperger's by a psychiatrist, if not I'd strongly recommend it if only to satisfy your clear curiosity. Or if you have a diagnosis discuss this with another psychiatrist, misdiagnoses are common. Also sometimes the psychiatrist only picks up the obvious - it's best they do a full assessment to look over everything.

My mom always thought I may have some kind of autism, as did my father (not in so many words, though my mother did say things like "you know when you do your autism things?" and my father would say, of these tendencies "it scared me because I didn't know what was wrong with him") and we suspected Asperger's ever since I heard about it when I was 18. Finally, I went to some kind of doctor who spceialized in childhood developmental disorders, and she said that it seemed like it to her.

Going by that, my therapist actually thinkks the things I talk about, this included, are tied to it somehow. I just wonder, is all.

My dad had a personality disorder, but I don't seem to fit any, fit SOME criteria of them though I might.

I am new to this group and have a few questions. First I have an eleven year old son diagnosed with PDD. We recently had a meeting at school to have him made eligible under the emotional behavior designation (EBD) as his issues and rage episodes are mainly emotion driven. He is also diagnosed Bipolar Disorder (rapid cycling on the more manic side. Recently he has had 3 rage episodes that were very violent. Does anyone think this is due to the Concerta he takes?

There are a large number of people that don't accept bipolar in children - it's a very new thing and seems to be confined to the US. Elsewhere medical guidance is not to diagnose before mid teens except in exceptional cases.

In the US kids are being given powerful anti-psychotics off lable. No one knows how this will affect the developing brain. (and the development state of the brain is thought to be the reason why bipolar and schizophrenia appear in the late teens rather than before).

There also seems to be a trend in adding more and more disorders on children and therefore more and more meds,

Concerta is for ADHD rather than bipolar. Sure these things can cause major side effects especially if the diagnosis is suspect in the first place.

Rapid cycling is more than four cycles in a YEAR.

Please, for his sake and your get a second opinion.

I have often heard that stimulant medications like Concerta can affect the manic episodes of someone with BiPolar disorder. I was diagnosed with Bipolar disorder and have been diagnosed more than ones with ADD since I was 10. I take Adderal which is very similar to Concerta and I only do so becuase I am taking mood stabilizers (Lamactil and Seroquel)

Without mood stabilizers, stimulant medications can make Bipolar disorder worse. If your son is taking the Concerta for ADD/ADHD, I would ask his doctor about the possibility of the Concerta affecting the manic side of Biploar disorder.
