Is it just me, or does having Asperger's make you feel like you are a foreigner assimilating to a completely different culture?

I don't think so. One of the largest online communisties for people with Asperger's is called "Wrong Planet".

I liken Asperger's to being left handed, it's a difference but the world is designed by right handed people and they have no clue how left handed people see it. We just learn. Funnily I once saw a TV programme where right handed people were given left handed tools and they were hopeless. In the same way some people with Asperger's have different talents but in the day to day social world they struggle.

Very interesting! Well I don't think that the way I see it is far off from how you see it. We're both saying we're assimilating in some fashion. But then, I don't know you or where you are on the spectrum. But anyways, thanks for sharing. I should check out that community. ^-^ Thank you.
