Ok, I have tried...and I appear to not be succeeding. My point in joining this group was to get some insight to HELP my son. I realize that I am not personally afflicted, but I am just as invested as the parent to a struggling child. I am desperate for knowledge about his problems, about how to help in any way that I can, to learn from others that have walked this road before me! My goal is to make my son's life as easy as possible, and to make sure that he grows up healthy, happy, and functioning to the best of his ability.

Is there are group out there that is strictly for the PARENTS of children? If I ask questions on here, I have gotten terrible emails from people who are offended by what I perceive as an innocent question. If I make a statement, I get attacked. I have learned, after the time with my son, that that can be the "nature of the beast" in some ways, but a person can only take it so long. I get the aggression from my son, my point of being here is to learn how to cope with it, how to help him...not be ridiculed by afflicted individuals for trying to help him. I understand that I may say the wrong thing from time to time. I understand that perceptions are different. BUT, I did not come on the site to be judgmental of others...nor do I expect that treatment. I am simply desperate for knowledge!

I am sorry to those that I have offended on my short time with this group. I most certainly was NOT my intent to insult or offend anyone.
