>>I think most importantly of all is to take a deep breath and don't take it all so seriously or personally. I believe that the resentment of problems are often worse than the problem.
It's learning how to take that breath and learning how not to take things personally or seriously that is aided by learning how to think about and change the thought processes by behavioral therapy. One can't go from being a Type A personality to the Dalai Lama in one swift move, it takes a process, and that process encompasses much thought. Following the written behavioral change format helps many.
It helps me with recurrent issues. Some are more difficult to change, but since I have been doing it, my thought to mouth filter is seeming to kick in more and more, and I've gone six months without being written up at work for having meltdowns. I'm actually missing being dragged into the office, and last week, right before I set myself on fire (accidentally, really) I got audited. The welding machine wasn't working properly, so I was frustrated and failed to fill out my paperwork properly because I was rushed to get the job completed, and I begged him to have me written up for non-compliance of procedure!!!! lol.
