When I was in college & graduate school & had to do the 10-to-20-page papers, it wasn't the best for my weight but I'd get a bag of candy & eat it as I did the research & wrote the paper, for constant motivation.

Now, I'm doing a bit better, health-wise. I eat non-fat pretzels or a loaf of raisin bread, rye bread, or whole-wheat bread--always carbohydrates, but more complex than the candy was! Or I'll sip on a smoothie made with fruit juice or milk base, plus bananas, fresh fruit, yogurt, and vanilla extract.
