Asperger Syndrome Support Group
Asperger syndrome - also referred to as Asperger's syndrome, Asperger's, Aspergers or just AS - is one of five neurobiological pervasive developmental disorders (PDD), and is characterized by deficiencies in social and communication skills, normal to above normal intelligence, and standard language development.

My son's aspie friend was over last night. My son was frustrated that the friend didn't just bike over (we don't live that far and our house is easy to find). My son's been biking all over since he was 12. My son gets it, but the frustration that the friend wasn't willing to try was there. (The boy's father decided to drive him.)
The boy is also rigid in the way he wants to play video games (basically do it the boy's way or he's not playing).
We've known him for 5 years now? He's come a long way, but the wish to "just make it all go away", is there.
And my son knows that it's so much harder for his friend.

Everyone has a different set of resources available and circumstances.
My advice, try to understand the meaning of life and then you shall be able to be more comfortable with whatever comes along in it.
Being an aspie means being a bit more careful about what you allow as an input into your mind. Because it is likely to affect you more.
The protection systems built to protect the sensitive inside person make us look like less emotionally don't care types.
Hope you find this advice useful.
If you do not fully understand it, ask for an explanation. It has been learned in half a century in the school of hard knocks called reality.
