Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction.
Am I the only one who's RA gets worse during certain seasons and when it rains or the pressure changes.
There's a cold front coming into where I live and I can definitely feel a flare right now.
does anyone else experience this?

I have OA and yes it can be felt with us....all of us....it is related to predicting the weather....

I experience more severe flare ups, it's caused by lower atmospheric pressure when storms develope. My rheumatologist says what basically happens in theory is that our bodies have pressure acting on us from the atmosphere, when levels are normal it basically hugs our bodies applying pressure and when the pressure gets lower the pressure decreases basically allowing inflammation to push the joints away from your body which in turn causes pain. Normal pressure is somewhere around 29.5psi unless living in higher elevations. With that being said if the pressure goes to 29.3 or 28.8 my body let's me know about it! I have barometers in my house I look at whenever I have an inflammation and the proof is there, yes it happens and it's not an old wives tale
