I have been in awful pain in my lower leg/shinbone for a few months now. I had a cat scan of my lower leg. It showed that i have multiple subchondral cysts in my tibia/shin bone. My dr doesn't think they are causing the pain. It also showed an 18 mm popliteal cyst on my lower leg,which he said could be causing me pain. All i know is that i am in pain pretty much all the time. I hurt so bad i feel like screaming or crying, sometimes BOTH...
I believe I have cysts on the back of my feet. Some people in my family got them too, and when they became too big for them, they became really painful. My great aunt would beat hers with a hammer and it literally dissolved them and worked. My grandma would have surgery on hers and they would just grow back.
I sounds like since yours are so painful you might want to talk to your doctor about surgery.
