I have used these knee covers, like sock things just for the knees that I got on amazon. I have a couple of different ones (not tight compression binders). I often use them in the middle of the night for knee pain. I have also recently purchased a down comforter and it really keeps the temperature of my legs even so I have a lot less pain. I used to wake up with knee and feet pain, now I feel this is remarkably less under this comforter. Just one from Target. I live where it is hot but we just use a sheet under the comforter. I am getting used to it and I feel I wake up much less stiff and less pain. Not gone pain wise, but I feel some hope. My other thing is getting outside every day if I can, staying active, not sitting around watching TV all day, reading books to get my mind off my pain, taking supplements that help with mood. I had heart surgery and depression is common after that surgery so maybe it is the same with what you have had done. Journaling before bed where you write down your feelings on paper can be very helpful with depression and anxiety (research based). Lastly, let me mention that some foods have oxalic acid and some are nightshade family and these can exasperate OA pain. I avoid these foods because eating too much gives me double the pain. Healing the entire body, mind, spirit, not just surgery or drugs. I hope you can find something to give you hope.
