Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction.
Hi folks. Someone posted a note a day or two about Mid Foot Arthritis. I don't remember if it was this group or the osteoarthritis group or maybe even another group. I had never heard of this. My most pain is in my feet. I remember the foot doctor said that I had a lot of arthritis in the top of my left foot but he didn't mention anything about Mid Foot Arthritis. My feet are very stiff. If I sit for even a few minutes, they get so stiff that I can hardly walk. They just won't bend and I have to clomp around till they loosen up. And are very painful. I am always struggling for a comfortable shoe. I have to wear inserts in all my shoes because I have a knot under both feet also and need really good arch support and a lot of cushioning. I work and stand all day on a concrete floor which does not help. Has anyone else heard of Mid Foot Arthritis? The person who posted it said the doctor wanted her to have surgery. That was really scary. I have always heard that foot surgery was awful.
