Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction.
In the past I had occasional times when my hands would feel numb and sore/painful, It was almost like they were stiff and my joints needed cracked, But eventually the feeling would go away and it would never last very long. It also never made it impossible to type or grab stuff or anything like that.
Now I'm getting the same pain but much worse, It seems to feel numb, tingly, painful, sore and stiff all at once and it only ever happens when my hands get hot or warm water on them, I've noticed this in the last month, but whenever I wash my hands, do the dishes or take a shower, my hands feel like this for a long while afterwards, I thought warm/hot water was supposed to EASE the pain of arthritis but for me it makes my hands so much more painful.
Nothing really helps the pain go away, ice cold water will bring a bit of normalcy to my hands but when the effect wears off my hands are hurting again.

Meblond, sounds more like small fiber neuropathy, to test for that you have to get a punch biopsy, they take a little skin and count the small nerve fibers. The nerve conduction studies will show up as normal, as there isn't large fiber damage, just small fiber.
