Hurting so bad

For the last couple weeks the arthritis in my fingers has been unbearable and I have no clue as to what to do to ease the pain. Tylenol and Ibuprofen doesn't seem to do anything. My doctor says I'm too young for arthritis (35, 36 next week) so won't even try to help me. I can't open my hand/fingers all the way or make a ball with my fist. I have Percocet but don't like to use it because it makes me so tired and I have to work with sharp objects so that's not a good idea. I am open to any ideas

I take(Mobic) - generic name is meloxicam 15 mg for arthritis in both my knees.......you can get it for $4 prescription price at Walmart. Maybe you could ask your doctor about it. So sorry to hear that you are in such pain especially at a young age. At least my arthritis didn't start until I was in my 60's. I'm thankful for that. kidding me...you think mobic is $4 script? I was put on it and 30days was well over $150....and that was the generic version of this med...look into it if you wish but that price seems wrong to me who took it and shopped for cheapest prices...

well I get the generic of mobic which is meloxicam 15 mg........30 day supply for $4 at both walmart and freds in Mississippi...........I've been getting for about a year now for that price

I use Aleve and it seems to take the edge off. The thing about it is that you need to build it up in your system. So if you take 1-2 Aleve every day you should start to notice a difference. I am 30 and suffer from Rheumatoid Arthritis. If you are genuinely concerned about your pain then you should ask him to check you for RA or some other type of auto-immune which results in arthritis pain.

My doc told me I was too young to have arthritis at 20 and a few months after changing doctors I found out I had RA. You know your body and if something is wrong, then you need to push for tests so you get the proper diagnosis.

As far as the pain goes, you can try to soak your hands in warm water. It will make them feel better, even if it's just temporary. Keep trying to stretch them out. I know it hurts, but it will hurt worse if you keep them still. Good luck!!

Most likely you are having problems from a boron deficiency. You can make your own supplements for it from 20 mule team borax (in the laundry detergent isle) believe it or not. I use one teaspoon of borax which is about 4grams or so. The mineral content of boron in borax is about 11% so in a liter of water you get about 202 doses. I take 1-3 teaspoons of the liquid concentrate in the morning and evening. My pain in my hands stopped after 1 day of use. I am going on my second week now and have had an overall detox with flu like symptoms (Herxheimer reaction). Sorry not to confuse anyone but I put one level teaspoon into a liter of water. That makes the liquid concentrate. I then take 1-3 teaspoons of that liter of water morning and night.
