Burning pain in shoulder and back pain

I have had a burning pain in my right shoulder for years. I'm working as a software tester, and I have to continuosly use the screen for my job. I believe this is the main reason for the pain. Sitting infront of a screen throughout in the same posture cause stiffness to muscles, I try to do some home exercises, including stretching and shoulder circles, but it doesn’t work at all. I feel relaxed for a while, but when I get back to my work the pain starts again. Now I feel severe back pain too, and I'm unable to walk continuously for long distances and I'm unable to do excercises. This pain is causing more and more disturbances to my daily activities. I cannot lift heavy objects; if I do, I feel much pain and feel swelling on my shoulder. I heard physiotherapy can resolve injuries caused even by severe accidents. I was planning to take a trial. Is physiotherapy painful? Did anyone had a successful recovery story? It will be helpful if you can share it with me.

Hi, I just started this group. If you get this message physiotherapy you asked a out. Do you mean physical therapy? If you mean physical therapy, it is helpful. The drawback for me was time. Having a job and other responsibilities can make it hard to take the time to get there 2 to 3 times a week. If you can get there, it would definitely help you. You might want to look into other work or working less hours at a transfer at your job to another job or the same job with less hours. You may want to ask for temporary disability from your doctor and start physical therapy to get back to functioning better. It may be you'll have to work less at your present type of work or research other types of work. A good mattress helps too. There is no way answer hang in there. You'll find ways to cope

Hi Bluebird20, thank you so much for your reply. The back pain made me mad, and I had applied for leave and went to my nearest physical therapy clinic: [ https://dynamicphysiotherapy.ca/services/physiotherapy-treatments/ ] to take a trial. As you said, the result was amazing, and I'm feeling more better than before taking the treatment. My therapist taught me some daily exercises for reducing the pain, and also, she gave me some posture tips that could help during working time. I think I will recover from my difficulties soon, and I'm able to continue my works with more energy. Once again, thank you so much for your reply and tips. I will keep an eye on buying a good mattress, as you said.

Pt is very helpful, I had a frozen shoulder and 1 year twice a week got me back to normal, my clinic opens on Saturday.
I live with chronic pain, including back after an idiot hit us twice while we were stopped at a red light.
Had PT,but was not much help.
I use self hypnosis, meditation that my doctor made sure I learned when I started with chronic pain from PMR years back.
I cant take strong medicine.
If you work at home with a computer, check for a good chair that hold back and neck.
