I posted a message the other day, the subject of which was Statins. I've had no responses and wonder whether the subject was unclear. I'm asking whether anyone on cholesterol lowering meds has experienced side effects that increased their joint/muscle pain. There's even something called The Statin Shuffle that describes how some sufferers walk. Please refer to my first post and respond if you have anything to contribute.

I couldn't get out of bed after I took the first pill. The pain was terrible.
Even red yeast rice affects my muscles and bones. I take persciption
niacin which doesn't work that well.
But I will never take statins again.
is better. My knees were really bothering me and they are better.
I walk at least 6 days a week.
I am 73 and like you not ready for a hover round yet.

I think it is an indivigual [?] thing with different people.
