Try tramadol for pain...much easier on your body but bit stronger. non narcotic.
In all honesty i have bad RA in my feet..and motrin worked the best for pain control. I just did not eat every time i took it and was on high dosage of it ..but beats taking narcotic drugs..i mean as to safety etc. just might try otc or get prescription..they have enteric coated in prescription for strong ones. good luck and hope it stays under control
What is your diet like?
There are many anti inflammatory foods.
I drink organic green tea, chamomile tea & peppermint tea. I add fresh ginger root to the the green & chamomile teas. I also drink aloe vera juice every day. Most of this I take to treat my Crohn's Disease. I can't handle the pharmaceuticals for CD.
I eat a mostly plant based diet, no dairy and no red meat.
"If it's not one thing it's forty others."
I still have ugly symptoms of CD, but since I stopped drinking coffee and started using food as medicine, I no longer have acid reflux or constant agonizing intestinal pain. It is much more intermittent. Any improvement is welcome. :)
I mix the aloe vera juice with sweeter juices like grape, blueberry or cranberry. I also like to add fresh lemon or lime juice to this. The aloe juice is hard to drink on its own.
I am actively searching for alternatives.
I eat fresh fruit every day, fish a few times a week and as much vegetables as I can. I have a juicer and I'm planning on making carrot juice weekly. I would love to drink fresh vegetable & fruit juices daily. I believe whole foods are best.
I have been reading about vitamin D, how most people are deficient in it and this can lead to cancer and Crohn's disease among other things. Your doctor can do blood work to check your vitamin D levels. In the warmer months you can get free vitamin D from the sun. :)

If you could avoid GMOs, that would be helpful. I don't know if they are labeled there. Here in the US we are not allowed to know what is in our food, yet most food stuff here is tainted with them.
If you would like I can send you some links on nutrition & health.
Best wishes for optimum health. :)
hope you feel better soon!
