Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction.
I have been experiencing left wrist pain, left hip pain and sometimes left ankle pain. The pains seem to flare up sometimes and go away. Growing up i did sprain my left wrist and ankle. Does anyone have any input as to whether i should be checked for arthritis? I am 34.
If you've been experiencing this for some time you could get checked out to be sure. I think arthritis can set in at an earlier age if there has been a break or fracture, not sure if it would with a sprain tho.
An anti-inflammatory would help ease major pain.
