I am starting my research to see how to improve my changes of implantation, so I thought it would be helpful to start a topic to see what other women have read. I read an article last night that washing of the cervix and uterus with simple saline solution helps. When I called my doctor's office this morning to asked about the procedure, they told me they do it, but wanted to share the information just in case.
I haven't heard of the saline wash...my RE didn't do that with my first IVF cycle. I'll have to ask about that!
Here are a few things my RE suggests to avoid during a cycle:
- Caffeine
- Weight-lifting
- High-impact aerobics
- Abdominal exercises
- Too much sun
- Hot tubs/saunas
Here are a few things my RE does/suggests to do as it relates to the transfer itself:
- Gives valium orally prior to transfer to help you relax
- Transfer is done on full bladder (I think this is typical)
- Lay flat for one hour after transfer
- Bedrest day of transfer and day after
My accupuncturist said to eat pineapple core starting the day of ET for 5 days. It's a delicious treat, so why not. But, she said don't do it other times during the cycle or you could become too acidic.
just had my ET on Sat..nurse said to eat proteins and dairy..relax and take it easy and dont walk in high heels,lol..but am trying to do whatever it takes..I even had a 2 weeks sick leave to rest at home :)
Thank you Dream...I am doing everything so far but the high heels. I am so short I wear heels daily, but I am going back to flats right now so I can get use to it. Thanks

Fertility experts are continuously working on providing good treatments to couples disappointed with repeated failed pregnancies. Traditionally IVF process has certain limitations and cons like to select embryo, doctors have to take them outside the safe incubator environment, but now with the arrival of embryoscope present at http://www.ilexmedical.com/products.php?id=130 has reduce this risk and helps in making perfect embryo selection for implantation. It increase the chances of a successful pregnancy. But along with such technological improvement, for successful treatment you should eat healthy and follow the medication recommended by doctor.
