Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hello everyone,
I know this whole Coronavirus thing has been a harsh time for us all, I'd just like to be able to type out my emotions as of right now. Not expecting anyone to answer, this is mainly just me typing here.
Well, I feel as though my life has been disrupted. Starting with having to transition onto online classes for my university. It hasn't been quite a good transition for me because I have to take online classes, and have tried to avoid them at all cost because I know that I can't learn by someone just talking at me from a screen. I also don't quite take it seriously. I can't get into that "At school" mode like during the first 8 weeks of classes for this semester. I can't quite focus at home and I have gotten to the point where I honestly feel like I don't quite care about this semester anymore. I have other things to worry about such as the health of my older parents. They're both in their early 60s, but given all of the constant information about COVID-19, well my anxiety has been through the roof. This could honestly be the reason why I can't focus on my school work anymore, mainly because I don't see why I should be worrying about academics during this pandemic. (I know that I shouldn't think this way and my education is important, but that is where I am at right now because I can't find a way to calm down. And yes I also know that it's better for me to have something going so that I could have some normalicy in my life, but yeah.)
I've been taking more naps throughout the day, and this reminds me of how I used to avoid my stress, which wasn't something I wanted to go back to, but that's where I'm at.

Name something you’ve gotten better at as you’ve gotten older.

Everyone is affected by the virus. The Bible says,” when I am afraid, I will trust in you.’ That’s what I do, there are times that I am afraid and worried but after I prayed, I felt God’s peace.
I pray that this pandemic will soon end and we will be back to our normal lives.
My son is a freshman in college and this is his 2nd week of online class. To help him adjust in these changes, he plays piano and takes naps in between his classes.
Stay safe. Praying for you for peace, good health for your parents and protection for the whole family as well. God bless.
