Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Keep venting. It often relieves the stress.
Be gentle with yourself and patient with the process.
Or get a change of scenery... walk outside and look around at nature.
Good luck with the job. I hope you get it.
I'm sorry you're experiencing so much anxiety. I've been where you are, and I know how hard it is. The waiting IS the hardest part.
What helps me, is to literally let it go...completely. I've done this from the very beginning--from filling out the application, and continuing to look and fill out other applications-- to getting a response, or not getting any response. I've had too many experiences like you, waiting and having every thought imaginable about the outcome of 'what if i don't get it' to, 'i really need this job'. I hated what that thinking/anxiety did to my insides.
So when I let it go, and developed a "whatever happens happens, and im ok with it" attitude, it helped soooo much. I had no expectations, which meant I wasn't 'let down' or disappointed. And hey, If I did get the job, then it was a pleasant surprise.
If you are prescribed anxiety med, then it's a good thing to stay on it--let it help, that's what it's supposed to do. However, trying to 'feel numb' is not a goal you should shoot for. You don't want to numb every emotion and make yourself not feel anything. You need to learn to handle your emotions in a healthy way--not shut off completely. That's not what the med is supposed to do.
Feel free to private msg me if you like. I'm here to be a support as best I can.
Hoping the best for you!
