Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
We all get what you are saying. I for one was bullied. It has made me a stronger person.
I now put my energy into helping the underdog. It empowers me and helps these less fortunate folks out....a win, win.
I don't read or watch the news. I read a few headlines and think to myself that the media wants to stir up trouble......so I turn it all off and go outside and work in my garden. I recently started indoor roller skating again after a 22 year lapse. The people are so friendly and fun to hang with. They are helping me get back into skating and rejoining "life" again.
I'm taking baby steps to get away from the negative. I have started my day with a gratitude rant....lol.
I get up smiling (I don't let the weather or what's going on in the world determine my happiness). I tell myself it is going to be a great day and that I expect great things to happen (I do the fake it til I make it thing). Then I start talking out loud to myself stating who and what I am thankful for and why while making my bed, making coffee, and showering/getting dressed.
This kind of thing takes practice. I had to make conscious efforts to get where I am at.
I'm not going to tell you it's easy.....but it is worth it! I love feeling good instead of crappy. I eat better, I've lost weight, my diabetes is under control.....so is my blood pressure......so many good changes. But as my therapist of long ago (one of the many)....it takes 'action jackson" to get out of the rut.
I wish you and the others the best in life. We all deserve it!
Look up......it frees you to move ahead :)
Above Anxiety has written a very good and informative post to you. I agree completely. Bullying has been around for years and years and I don't don't know if it can ever be completely wiped out. I dealt with terrible bullying when I was in grammar school, high school, and even by friends after high school. I feel sorry for people that have such hate in their hearts. I honestly believe that hate is a learned behavior as well as people hating themselves. Try to find beauty in the world as often as you can. Also, help where you can to rid this world of bullying. There are so many ways that we can help. Bless you. Hugs Gramybear
