Worried about food unrefridgerated.

So okay, question.

My mom bought stuff for sandwhiches.. Mayo, cheese, turkey, chicken.. She put it in the fridge at work and then she took it out and had it in her bag while she was on the bus (About 30-40 minutes) then we were at the hospital with it still there, about an hour, then we walked home.. about 30 minutes)

We put it in the fridge the moment we got home, so .. my question is, Will I violently die from eating these sandwhiches?

If it is in a package and needs to be refrigerated it has to state it on the package...at least in Canada anyways. Some packages like your mayo will state 'refridgerate after opening'. In that case you will be okay. As for the meat and cheese it would depend on the temperature. I would guess the cheese is ok but would be cautious about the meat. In the end if you do not know it is better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps.

The meat/cheese, well if it looks ok and smells ok it should be OK, maybe your mom could take one of those lunch bags with a freezer pack in it, to carry stuff after work in case she has to go somewhere.

I worry about food safety a lot
-When In Doubt-throw it out.
If something is past the expiration dates or smells funny or has been unrefridgerated for too long I toss it
