This is where your work is not in the Gym !!
If you hate feeling like a failure, then ask yourself what you consider to be a success. Do you feel strong and successful being at the mercy of a work out addiction? Do you consider working out every day, even though you know that the body needs time to heal and repair between workouts, being a success? Do you think that throwing logic out the window because your feelings are stronger then your thoughts, would be called a success?
I think you need to just quit listening to your little voice and tell him to shut up and go away while you lay on the couch and rest.
mysticsoul: I know you right... I have a lot of digging to do. Thanks for the comment!
Lilygirl27: You are so right, they are not sucesses and I am putting so much pressure on myself to continue to achieve this excessive exercise, low body fat, ripped muscles, etc. I know that no one else cares about these things and I just need to realize that letting that go does not make me a failure. It is time to move on. Thank you for the dose of reality. I hope it can sink in.
hiimahypo- that's ok. And I totally agree that exercise is GREAT! part of my problem is the numbers. I have to exercise to burn at least 1200 calories (my light day) the rest of the week is 1550. that's cardio, then I lift weights 4 days on top of that for at least 45-1hour. Not light either, I lift heavy. I end up burning about 1700-1800 calories total on those days. Food, well that's where I am really struggleing at getting in just under 1000 calories per day. I used to be up to 1150 but after a gum graft, I dropped and haven't been able to up again. So today, not only the "fog" from no endorphine kick this am but also the numbers. Automatically a surplus in calories because of not calorie burn. That's the hardest part that i am fighting today. Because of the numbers, once I get started on exercise, I have not been able to stop until I reach or slighlty surpass my goal.
Believe me, I know there are so many issues with what I am doing. That's why today is so tough. But so far I have eaten what I planned and not caved to exercise. Did I mention that the stairstepper, elliptical and bike are here in my living room, all starring at me, trying to entice me. UGH! I am keeping my back to them!!!
