Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I am a new student. It was my first time doing anything in so long, really being in "the real world" for so long that school is so surreal for me. I can't sleep tonight because for 10 years I have been in this world of support groups, day treatment, ARMHS appts, and therapy, in that time I hadn't worked or done anything else. It became my social circle, my life really. So I recently started college, doing something that I wanted to do forever. But even now, even when I know my art is strong, I did my best on my homework, the idea of going to school tomorrow to turn it in is making me anxious. Guess I better try to go back to bed, early morning. I really do hate this:(

I know how u feel. You'll be ok. Just realize it's anxiety and try to fight through it. Talk to yourself and tell yourself there's no reason to be anxious go through the reasons why your anxious and conundrum that with reasonable explanations as to why your fears of going to school r just fears and R not going to come true. U did a good job on your art. Everyone is going to love it!!!!!!!!!

I think that is completely normal-this is a new situation-just sit with the anxiety--acknowledge it and keep on moving ---after a few times of going in, the anxiety will be much less....keep pushing yourself towards your goals--

This is totally understandable and normal. Doing something new and out of our comfort zones is difficult and at times overwhelming. School can also be stressful, but I think it is awesome that you have decided to pursue your dreams. Is art something that calms you down? That is an awesome therapy right there and your art can also speak to people and make a difference in their life. Hope everything goes well and I'll be praying for you.

This isn't stupid!! It's normal to feel that way, it's exciting and scary all at the same time! Proud of you that you started school and got over your fears and went through with it!!! Congrats, you can do it!

Why are you so afraid of turning your work in? Also, all the colleges have support groups on the campus's for different reasons. Maybe check into those? Don't give up on your school work. I went back to school in my 30's and it was the best thing I ever did for myself. Hugs GB

P.S. There are absolutely no stupid questions and the support you asked for, is also not stupid. Hugs GB
