For what its worth
When I've been honored with the opportunity to be part of a brother or sister-in-healing experiencing a breakthrough, I often find myself at a loss for words. I worry that saying the wrong thing will ruin the fragile moment. I figure ^it^ is not about me and less from me is better.
One of my more effective therapists told me that she considered knowing when **not** to speak as the one of the more important arts within the art of being a therapist.
Speaking strictly for myself, I believe there are times when silence really is golden. When a brother or sister-in-healing are on the verge of settling something in their own heads, anything I might have to say is likely to do no more than disrupt the process. Healing is an inside job. I can't do it for them.
I believe that healing is an inside job. The resumes and qualifications of the people on my therapy support network are nowhere near as important as what they touch inside my wounded heart.

Inside my own skin, it takes more emotion to tear up than it takes to cry. The cry is just one of many ways to vent. It be the welling which gathers the forces and feels far more intense to my strictly personal senses.
