Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I'm really feeling very alone. I have no one to talk to and feel isolated from everything. I have a good life, a beautiful home, family that loves me and have been in a relationship for 37 years. With so much good around me there is not one person I can turn to.
I recently purchased a business and it's going very well but the pressure of being an owner, caring for elderly parents and a partner that cheats on me, I find it difficult to cope. Everything seems to come at me fast and my ability to think becomes very clouded. I went to the doctor who diagnosed me with severe Anxiety and Clinical Depression. He prescribed two medications and I started taking them on Friday. I hope it helps.
Last night I was home alone and wanted to talk to someone but, no one is here for me. I cannot talk with my parents who are 88 and 93 years old. They have enough on their plate. My partner has the idea that 'people don't need medication to cope and should just suck it up' and most of the people I have in my life aren't what I consider close friends so, that leaves me to cope by myself.
I'm 62 years old and have dealt with anxiety in the past and here I go again. My mind races, my focus is off the charts and it feels like everything is attacking me at one time. I hate the feeling and I hate the lack of ability to separate everything to make it easier for me to cope.
I know I'm not alone in this and that's why I came here. Hoping to meet others who can give me advice and share their own journey with me.

Ketchup or Mustard?*You can’t say both (or neither), or add stipulations, or make substitutions- just commit and pick one of the two choices!

Yesterday with a talker who had a visitor I asked a question that garnered a response that the visitor did not know. On another occasion, I had a lady tell me "you talked to me today, my husband does not". Volunteering helps because it gives me avenue.
The mind racing and lack of focus things is with me too. Not sure if I can help but please shoot me a private message here and it may be that we can provide mutual benefit.
Hope this helps, either way.
