General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. First off, let me say. Im a hypochondriac. So EVERYTHING scares the crap out of me. I always think the worse.
So ive been kinda stressed at work and sin e Friday ive had stomach issues. Pains that radiate to by lower mid back, gas pains i guess. Mainly like a knotty feelinf in my left side. Ive been burping alot.
Do you guys think its just a little gas and im over feeling it. Am i making ut worse? They come and go. Could this be anxiety? Have u experienced this. Sorry for the spelling. I got a new phone and im getting used to it.

I am also a hypochondriac and it seems that we have an increased awareness of our bodies. I know exactly what you are feeling. I can tell you that whenever my anxiety kicks in my stomach goes haywire. The increased heavy breathing does create increased gas because some of the air does go into your stomach. I also get aches and pains when my anxiety has been elevated for a few days. I think that this is because of odd sleeping positions and the inability to sleep. Relax and give it a few days. If the pain does not go away then by all means make an appointment with your GP or FP doctor to see if there are any issues. Stress can do some weird things to the body so do try to relax. I know that this sounds impossible believe me...I am trying to tell myself to do the exact same thing right now.

Lol! Isnt it crazy how the smallest things trigger our hypochondria?? I always think its the worse. Makes me feel dumb sometimes, cause ill tell a friend or coworker and i feel like they get kinda annoyed. Why did u have to go getvchecked?

I had to go and get checked because my stomach was bothering me and I was on a pancreatic or stomach cancer kick. This just followed my lung cancer craze and chest x-rays. I hate dealing with this hypochondria and wish that it would just go away. I have my highs and lows and after experiencing a long low period it has once again reared it's ugly little head. I think that I get like this everytime that I have a baby. I really think that it is linked to hormones not too sure.

Its funny you say that because mine started after i had my baby. Shes 15 mnths now, and it has toned down a bit but its still there and when it strikes it kicks my a$$. has this happend with your last baby?

Not to alram you but but I had the same symptoms turned out to be my gallbladder I was having attacks. I had to have it remove. I would def have it checked out. You can't just assume every symptom is due to anxiety. Mine was triggered after I had a baby. I still would check it out it it keep up.

There is actually a condition called postpartum anxiety. It is not diagnosed very often because of the focus on postpartum depression. My third baby is now 7 months old and it kicked in when I was about 3 months postpartum. My oldest is 9 and it kicked in when he was about 2 months old. I did not have it with my second son, but my husband was deployed and we were getting ready to move overseas. For my oldest, I went on meds and felt relief after about months. I have only been on meds for a little over a week this time and hoping to get the same reaction. My therapist is the one that provided me with the information about Postpartum Anxiety and the rare diagnosis. You may want to speak with your doctor or therapist about options that are long lasting.

I can't tell you how it feels to read this. This is so me. To know others feel the same way provides me with some comfort, though now I feel bad for ya'll too! Right now I am considering a stomach ulcer, skin cancer where I scrubbed a freckle off till it left a scar, gallbladder problem, I actually have shoulder pain from bursitis, but the rest is likely in my mind. Oh, and I am slightly anemic and have a slightly swollen lymph node behind my ear from a cold that lasted two weeks. See? I drive everyone nuts, but it is like a compulsion that I am helpless to stop. It started last year with my Father's death. I was such a happy go lucky person before! I hope by talking to others, I will be able to let some of it go. Reading what I have said is almost comical to me.

And please let us know what you find out about your stomach issues! (I also worry about others)

Brit. I have read about that, but im so scared to take meds. I dont ever have a good reaction to it. Is that how you got better with your first one? And what type of med are you on?

@rlewis. I read what u type and your right. It is comical. I always feel some sort of pain or weird symptom damn near every day. And u hate it. I was always a cheerful person. But then this happed and ut has me feeling like crap. I want to get better and i know i will. With the Grace of God and my beautiful daughter i will.
