throat. If i get severe anxiety it causes dizziness and disorientation plus I often get very cold. The fact that it does eventually go away would probably rule out a physical problem.
It's caused from your body's fight or flight response thinking you are in physical danger and therefore diverting blood and energy to the areas needed to keep you alive, in the moment of danger. When we get anxious our brain reverts back to the survival mode that used to keep us from getting eaten by lions. Your muscles get more blood and oxygen so you can get out of the situation, your lungs are prepared for running, your heart beats harder/faster to get the blood to the important parts. It diverts as much energy as possible from the GI tract because the last thing you want to have to do when running for your life is to stop to have to go to the bathroom. So yeah, maybe more answer than you wanted, but that's why it happens.
