Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. Hey guys hope you are all having a wonderful night. I send you all much love and peace of mind. I am writing this because as the title states I seem to have the flu and man is it beating me up. I started with really bad symptoms today and just right now I started getting really anxious and scared. Scary thoughts and a feeling of dread came over me a couple of minutes ago and I felt writing it out might help me out. When I am sick I end up feeling like I am not normal, like I am an outsider looking at other people enjoy their lives. It sounds super ridiculous I know, since it is only a damn flu and it isn't the first one I've experienced. But hey, for me this is an experience that I do not enjoy at all and I get impatient. I start thinking of the many days ahead that I have to put up with this and then I start thinking, "what if it isn't a flu? what if it is some sort of disease or something rare like a super bug?" I mean my mind just goes out of its way to freak me the hell out and well I am just asking you all for advice. What helps you guys stay positive during an episode of sickness? What helps you diminish your anxiety? What keeps you hopeful?
Thank you guys and I very much appreciate any advice you all can give. Also If your advice for me is to "Man the hell UP!!!" well you may be right, I mean even if you have advice like that to give me I will accept it. I am not afraid of a little tough love as long as it comes from a good place. Thank you again and God bless.

Hope the dog days of summer aren't getting you down!

Be mindfull.
I read once, if you focus on a penny, it can block out the sun while you hold it up. Amazing.... Something so small and insignificant can overpower the true strength and size of the sun.
Do not worry... (far easier said than done at times)... and remember how great God is. He is SO much bigger than what we are facing, yet we can lose sight of that. We focus on the problem rather than the One who creates order out of chaos, beauty out of ashes. Trust. You will be fine in the grand scheme of things.
May God bless you as well. Feel better soon!
