Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

The first step to letting that go, is to just recognize that you are hanging onto negative thoughts of your past, of yourself or your relationships.
Once you recognize you are having a thought, this is when you have the power to let it go - and purposefully manage your thoughts and recondition yourself not to carry that baggage around anymore.
Its easier said than done - but it is possible! All it takes is daily consistent effort.
The second thing you can do is when you acknowledge your having these thoughts, is remind yourself you did not ask for the bullying - you never would have accepted it if you had a choice. And then just for a moment try to look at yourself with compassion - this is one of the hardest thing for people to do - offer ourselves compassion.
Ive often said that if anyone was able to see how I spoke to myself in my head, they would call the police to have me arrested for self abuse. We can be extremely hard on ourselves. We are often much harder on ourselves than anyone else ever has been, or we are on them.
What happened in the past is over - it doesnt exist anymore - except only in our minds. In your own mind and in your own thoughts is the only place the trauma exists today - no one else on earth.
Try Zen meditation to help you learn to recognize your own thoughts. Learn to sit in silence and just observe what goes on in your mind. This can have a profound affect on your recovery.
Wishing you the best.
