I've had those kinds of fears. At the moment the moment the memories are safely forgotten, sorry.
I do well remember a professor or two who were weird and harmful. I should have written the school dean -- if only to have (another?) complaint on record. I wonder if their is a complaint process U could start. It'd be nice to save that grade.
Is their a campus ombudsman? At my school, both the Dean of Men and Dean of Women were really good. Just good people; and their staff. Is perchance the Dean of Women there a sympathic person? She wouldn't have power in this, but very possibly have advice.
When starting to talk to that Dean (or assistant) maybe don't mention the name of the professor. Only if she asks. Sometimes she'll have more leverage -- or credibility as advisor -- if she doesn't know the name and is guaranteed as non-personal on her part.
A few professors are hard-hearted, lazy..., and get away with a lot. The one I'm thinking about walked on a lot of ppl; I imagine he could have had a file on him. Maybe he was disciplined.
You could write to your professor. And have it on paper. Those A's on assignments IMO can be used to document your case.
Lawyers often are just ppl who give advice. Maybe the school's legal department?.. Possibly a letter from a lawyer on your behalf? .. .. /best of luck, -Paul
