Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
i havw been off work since last january due to my anxiety and a leg injury.
ima CNA and love my job so dont understand my fear of going back to work.
I think my leg is finally healed enough to allow me to work, financially i need to as my husband has been paying my credit card for me and i have been unable to take my pets to the vet,s, it usually costs me $1000 a year for their care.
My husband has been very good and let me buy products on line for my pets but they need to be updated on vaccinations, he is not willing to pay for this also which i understand as they are my responsibility.
I am just now on a med finally that has lifted my deppression but the anxiety not good, i love my new med remeron but it makes me a little tempremental and weight gain which is a problem as im only 5,3.
I need to start seriously doing my CBT homework to become more in controll of mylife and posotive thinking and exercise, these are my last 2 goals to work on.
Im trying to get myself into a place to acheive this.
I hope to go go back to work soon as i really want to and get my life and indipendance back, it will be good for me, i will then also be able to afford to see my physcologist again which will be hugely benaficial to me.
So these are my new goals to work on to enable me to work.
If you go online and punch into Realmentalhealth.com you can subscribe, it,s free, they give you homework exercises to work on.
Have you thought about going to a job that you your not bothered about?, i know it sounds silly but i have given this some thought because i think if i worked at wallmart i would do a good job but not care about it therefore lessening or taking away any anxiety away.
When i do go back i will also only work part time and not do any extra fill in hours in hopes of lessening stress.
Also going back with a posotive and an im in charge feeling should help me feel in control and not inferior especially if i go back to my CNA job which i would prefere.
My company has been very good to me and have said they will take me back when im ready which is more than generous of them, i work with a senoir home health care agency which i love because i get to work one on one, this means the person im taking care of gets all the full care, love and attetion they need unlike working in a nursing home.
I do get to work in nursing homes but still with just one person which is great as i do not like working with others or being observed, something else to work on.
I know this all seems a bit daft but it makes sense to me.
I hope it helps you a little at least.
I do understand exactly what you are feeling and going through, your not alone!, just try to start working on postotive thinking, it really does help with feeling more in controll.
Good Luck Love, if you want to talk im here and do understand.
Hugs xx.
Get your meds under control and don't worry about what might happen again. Unless its your actual job that's pushing you over the top, it'll be okay.
Know that they can't kill you, learn to work through the symptoms with breathing and relaxation exercises and live life. Panic is a bully -- don't give in!
