I know how you feel. I start my day with a brisk walk and always come back feeling better. They say it stimulates something in the brain.

Hello. Yes I know how you feel. Morning is full of dread and despair because I get so overwhelmed. Part of what's helping is getting professional counseling and through talking I'm discovering that waking up while growing up was not a good experience and then I psyched myself out thinking mornings would always be stressful. I just found this group mostly because of this problem in the morning. I'm trying to connect with people first before I start my day. I am next going to take a walk around the block and back. I'll start off slowly because I know with my ocd I'll start too fast and too much...so I'll go slow and just be happy I'm outside. Gratitude in the morning is very helpful too. I too wake up in the later part of the day...sometimes too much. Take care. LC

I have the same problem. Every morning I wake up early, with a knot in my stomach and a my head racing. I usually start off anxious and scared, and then become very angry. Then I cry. Then I go back to sleep. It's a bad pattern that I definately need to fix.

Hey! That sounds just like me! When the dreaded alarm goes off in the morning i turn it off and go back and try to go back to sleep to until the morning is over never normally works. I prefer night time dont no why i think its because everythings stopped and it kinda quiet whereas morning everyone is on the go (appart from me lol). I find if you have a aim to the day that seems to help me get up and helps me deal with morning as i have something to focus on! Anyway hope that helps!

I feel the same way. In the mornings, I feel much more anxious and depressed. I will often struggle to do normal morning routine things, and then around 1pm or so I finally start to feel somewhat better.

wow this is unreal. me too. ForMario, you opened my eyes. getting up was a bad experience growing up. i was not allowed to sleep in, even on weekends (except my grandparents house). my father felt it a waste of time so i had to get up and be productive. he would hollar at me and flash my room lights then leave them on. i would lock the bathroom door, turn on the shower and go to sleep. that helps explain, or would be a reason, why i like all of you share this same thing. early afternoon i get to feeling better and wish it would start earlier.
