Good luck and hang in there. Thanks for sharing.
Have you tried Lexapro? I have not been on it in awhile but I did well on it and was on it for almost ten years.
I had to change because of life circumstances my depression worsened and Lexapro wasn't doing the trick anymore.
I weaned off antidepressants earlier this year. I was on a bad one (Effexor) I would not recommend it. Withdrawal is pretty awful.
I'm considering returning to antidepressants as busy head is keeping me up at night. They will not give me clonazepam for forever.
Good luck hope this helps
to be honest, a drug that didn't turn me into a slug and didn't make me gain a ton of weight? I didn't care what other side effects there were. I think you hit a point where you say to yourself "stuff the side effects, I can't go on like this". Just avoid mirtazapine. I gained 10kg in 4 weeks.
And that's totally accepting and listening to your obsessive thoughts. Allowing them to run to their logical conclusion. This allows your brain to reprogramme itself. It does take time though, and make you miserable while it's happening. But if you do enough of them you do come to some kind of peace that is workable and pretty okay. Provided you're not being constantly damaged by a bad marriage or cruel employer, you can be happy.
Someone mentioned Journaling and exercising. Both good things. Try to have as positive of an attitude as you can and surround yourself with positive things. Half smile/smile a lot. Force yourself to do something you enjoy each day.
God Bless
