Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Don't put too much emphisis on the meds, in my experience it's not just that that will get you out of the woods, its everything.
Some stuff I do is
good diet (eat really healthy, frequently to keep blood sugar up), Sleep (I Make sure to get full nights uninterrupted rest. If you aren't sleeping well, have your doc prescribe you something non addictive),
Meditate every day (i just sit in silence for 15 minutes, focusing on breath. Nothing mysterioius about it, it just FORCES your brain to quiet down)
Therapy with someone you trust, Cognative Behavioral Therapy worked great for me.
If you are having panic i suggest STOP COFFEE and all caffeine. that just wires me up.
Vitamins, Fish Oil, any supplements are good (talk to your doc about this)
Excersize- 20 minutes at least four times a week cardio- this gets your heart rate off and burns off the anxiety. Its other level.
In my experience, when I work a program, I recover. I'm here now in a relapse because I stopped working the program (and taking my meds!! Like a dummy!!!) But I know I've been thru it before, and I came out the otherside, and I will again, it's just a matter of time, and working my program.
Hope that helps and feel free to message me off line if you want to chat. Part of this depression is the hopelessness you feel. But there is no ground for it. I'm sure you lived many years without anxiety & depression, and you will live many more without it!!! There is no evidence that says you won't make it thru this, in fact, the fact that you've probobly lived most of your life anxiety free supports the contrary.
In fact, when you get to the other side of this, you are going to feel such a joy and appreciation for life being that you just went thru this Hell, that you will probobly be happier than you've ever been.
Just need to give it time, and have a little bit of "mental toughness"
