Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
In terms of hormone testing, I did do that once with a naturopath, maybe two years before I got married and started trying, and while my hormones were all over the place in the testing, I was still able to get pregnant, so while that was helpful, don't worry TOO much about that if it's not something you can afford / have time for right now. I was also temping, using ovulation predictor strips, and charting, (and eating all the "fertility foods" lol) which was super helpful. I even had quite a few "cycle" issues including a recent surgery to remove a polyp from my uterus (and I"m not exactly young either, lol) and it was still fairly easy to get pregnant using FAM / NFP so please try not to stress about that too much right now.
Knowing your anxiety, see if an OB or doctor can try referring you to a specialist in maternal fetal medicine or a counselor who specializes in anxiety and mamas / pregnancy. Once you are pregnant and feeling more anxious, and especially once you have a baby, you will find you are too tired to pursue some of the support you need, so have all the info you need (like about bf-ing on meds, etc, which is not as bad as you would think -- some meds are very safe during bf-ing and not all docs are well informed about that!) BEFORE you get to that point.
Feel free to write with anything else; I don't know if any of this helped but while my anxiety did increase during pregnancy and postpartum, it was also worth it for sure!!
