Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

I would ask your doc if you can see a specialist and see if you can see an ent doc. I've had dizziness on and off since I was 18 and they still can't figure out what is going on. I have been frustrated for a very long time. The docs just say I have Vertigo. I hope you figure it out. Let us know, ok?
I spent probably 1-2 years going to so many doctors trying to find the cause of what was happening......
I am not saying this will happen to you but I am still not right and all the dizziness etc.. has faded and I dont get i to much but I am an anxiety mess now.
I still wonder why this started and sometimes I think it was due to having a baby it triggered something. Hormones definitely could be something to look into.
Thyroid also, have you had that checked? That was the only thing they found wrong with me and I think some of my symptoms had to do with thyroid. It is common for women to get thyroid troubles after having a baby.
I always say it is such a wonderful thing to have a child but you never exactly feel the same after (not always a bad thing).
Anyway I wouldnt worry too much your doctor is probably right but he should test your blood levels, hormones and thyroid if he hasnt already??? And not just assume PPD is the main cause. it could be something physical causing the moods or symptoms.
Anyway I know exactly how you feel with the offbalance feelings and i am sorry I cant give you more of an answer because I still dont know exactly what caused them but I struggled for a long time with them and it isnt fun. Just make sure the rest is ruled out and if it is anxiety related start reading up on how to help it or maybe see a therapist.
Let me know how it goes!
Good luck i really hope you feel better soon.
I too am a long time anxiety sufferer expecially about my health. I just had my fourth baby in Aug last year. She is 7 months old. I had dizziness and my anxiety went haywire after years of coping moderately well. After blood work it was revealed I had developed post partum hyperthyroid. After five months of that I went hypothyroid. Within a month of that my levels returned to normal range. However I am suffering many lagging affects. Like high anxiety dizziness fatigue and now a ton of gastric issues.
Have they checked your thyroid levels? I can say yes definately hormones post partum can play s big role. Hugs I know how difficult it is when all you want to do is enjoy your little one and it is hard to function.
Hang in there, I'm just taking it day by day, trying to understand what's going on, maybe I should't.
