Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I have him saved on youtube and have been using his EFT for awhile.....I need to be more consistent tho.
I had to "tap" on "I don't want to do this!" once or twice today - and that is just built up resistance - negativity, in what ever form it takes.
Another vital element that I have noticed in the success of this is the recognition that your true nature is peaceful, content and, actually, loving. You didn't create this nature -it is "who you are".
But when you can get to a space when you are working on an issue - and "feel" into a good feeling - whether it be compassion for yourself, or love, peace, whatever - when you go back to the negative issue - it loses a tremendous amount of the emotional charge. That's what he describes in the videos where he "flips" the memories. I don't have memories as much as negative self-talk and self-concept. So, I "feel" into loving myself, loving others, loving God, realizing that "in this moment" (which is the only one that exists - and that becomes more and more evident as you do this) everything is just fine, because you've "tapped" into the larger Self that is Always fine, Always at peace - that larger part of you is always present - it's just the noisy, chattering "monkey mind" that distracts us from it. We've just unfortunately trained ourselves to believe our own thoughts. As Richard Carlson said in "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff" - "you think thoughts - you don't think Reality"
