I've had this since I was in my 20s (I'm now in my late 30s) to some extent but have only recently been diagnosed with GAD, and given meds for it.
Its a bit too early for the meds to kick in, if they do?

I did 'will' more anxiety today and I gave it the welcome mat, and it didn't do anything to abate the problem, however I did stand my ground and eventually I left this place (a Supermarket) and went outside, and soon as I had enough air and was less crowded I was fine.
I think if I had stayed inside this place any longer I may have passed out, I say may because I've never actually passed out before, and I know I probably won't - My anxiety is mostly triggered by something physical like heat, being crowded and the fear of passing out. - Silly but when it happens the physical feelings are so pervasive I defy any book/doctor or whatever telling me its easy to embrace it and also by embracing it the feelings pass, they don't for me.
Saying that I suppose it can't help but try ;)
