Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
In short: take your fear seriously, and experiment. Challenge your body and find its limits. Discover the real parameters and the imagined parameters will no longer be capable of lodging in your brain. You can only keep these fears in your brain for as long as you do not investigate and find the truth, because truth locks in and overrides imagination.
I tend to think of this process as creating a jigsaw puzzle. All these discrete items, with patterns, shapes. What are they? Only when they are locked into their correct place in your map of reality do they make sense, and when they do so they actually disappear. They disappear and become part of the whole of your reality map.
:D Did I lose you? Maybe too much... Do a jigsaw puzzle and you will see. Do a Wasgij. You don't know what they show until you have made the puzzle, so they are a better metaphor for discovering reality and mapping the world view. :)
There are a few exercises you can use to help control the panic and anxiety, they have helped out tremendously for me. They do not cure you by any means but it does help.

its a good read :) hope I was helpful and remember that you are not alone.
Thing is...you have anxious habitual thoughts...that's all it is folks!!! Until you persistently work on these thoughts....(one negative thought at a time)....your brain will keep looking for all of the dangers that could possibly take you under. I know this because this used to be me. I let my anxiety take me into quite a state of depression. I felt that all hope of ever being "normal" again were out the window. I even had professionals tell me...."You just have to learn to life with this condition". Thank God I didn't accept... "learning to live with this condition"....as an option!!!!!
Hahah....if you have someone in your life or are reading information like this so called professional was dishing out to me....get someone more up to date on things to help you!!!!
An Anxiety Disorder is NOT something you have to live with. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you that you can't turn around. On top of that....I used to say when I was anxious..."I just wish I could go back to the old me and not have anxiety". Hahaha...we'll guess what...it was the "old me" that brought on that horrible anxiety to begin with. It turns out it was my negative thoughts, my fears, my heartache, my disappointment, my perfectionism, my issues with control, my anger, my judgments ....that caused anxiety to appear in my life. It was my learning what anxiety really was and how to make simple changes in the way I acted, retained and thought that made it COMPLETELY go away.
Believe me....there is nothing special about me. I am a normal average person who had anxiety and depression and found tools that others used to overcome this condition and realized....Hey...this works for me also!!!
The secret is simple....you have to learn to reprogram the current way you are thinking from taking yourself down to building yourself up.
For those of you who don't know me....I have recently posted 12 Weeks that you can go back in by viewing all posts. They start with Week One and go through to Week Twelve. My best to each of you....I was once in your shoes and completely understand the AWFUL feeling you are experiencing. I also know that it doesn't have to be this way.
I have suffered for years.....took pills.....bought snake oils of all sorts.....did acupuncture........etc.
When I found out that I created my anxiety and panic attacks (they laste 24/7.....stroke and heart attack symptoms).......I felt doomed.
However......I survived it all :)

Have youhad your thyroid checked? You may just have anxiety, but...
your thyroid can also do this! I wound up in the ER room and they didn't catch it though.
My primary doc didn't either. But a gyno. doc did for some weird reason.
It felt like my heart was going to go into one long beat.......
the hospital just gave me diazapam, which worked. But it wasn't the main thing wrong with me then.
I would get it checked out just in case. They can do thyroid tests, bloodwork.
I still have anxiety....but its from my husband.. he makes me stick to the ceiling.
