It's been a while how is everyone?
So I been though a really rough time. Had a break up (officially months ago unlike all the little break ups we had) and I'll be honest I hate her with a passion but never was able to sit down and think about how I feel about everything she did to me. I was having dreams occasionally of us getting back together with her but of course I'd wake up the next morning thinking what the hell my head is thinking.
I just started dating this girl who was there for me through everything even after a year ago when I ditched her completely for another girl and I feel totally guilty but we both fell in love again our our reconnecting and we started dating and its been pretty good:)
The issue right now is me and the dreams of the ex I mention above. She's almost always in my dreams when I dream of my current girlfriend but not physically. Ex's name is Ashley and the new girl is Ariel. In the dreams I always correct myself. Am I doing this cause of the name similarity or could it be worry about this relationship going bad like the last or something else.
I know this is no dream analysis site but its a lot of anxiety to deal with and there are some really unique people on here that I'm sure have there own thoughts and feelings on what this bit means. I'm more curious then anything else.

Of course, he was cheating, and you aren't - but there's a gem of wisdom in the idea.
Whenever I'm really mad at my son, I call him by my brother's name. There are going to be situations when you haul out the last girlfriend, just by virtue of the imprinting on your brain.
It never serves a person to read too much into this stuff. life is what you make it. Ariel is a wonderful name for a girl, and she seems like a sweetheart. You probably are still a bit screwed up about Ashley but it's nothing time won't fix. I think you just need to be careful of ripping Ariel's heart out AGAIN. You're young. Just relax. don't lock reality in stone. You won't have a clue about how the world works till you're at least 50 anyway, so why bother worrying.
