How long were you two married?
I'm a rock musician and was very active writing recording and playing music the entire time. All she wanted was for us to buy a house. I told her that we should save up a huge down payment so we wouldn't be in debt for 30yrs
And we did. She alway supportted my passion and she was heavy into animal rescue . One day I found out she had a job offer on the west coast 3000 mi away. She didn't tell me and I found out by mistake. So I was upset of course and we got into an argument. She expected me to leave my family friends band job of 20
Years and move. So of course this set my anxiety through the roof and she didn't take the job. So we continued saving and still didn't get a house of course
Because the thought of going into would send me into major fear and anxiety.
At the time I just thought I was a nervous person and didn't know I even had an anxiety disorder. I wish I would have been diagnosed and treated a long time ago
Because it has held me frozen in fear for years. My wife always bottles her emotions up and doesn't fight about anything and I was always walking on egg shells afraid to ask her in fear of hearing the answers so we just didn't bring it up and finally she left because she couldn't take it anymore .. As you can imagine I am a total wreck beating myself up ruminating about all my regrets anxiety held me back in fear. I can eat or sleep, I'm on FMLA for a this.. she says she is done and is going on a buying a house on her own. I can't really blame her. We've been though Marriage counceling 2 times , but it's alway her expressing how I've hurt her emotionally over the years by not being there for her and not making her happy.. Anxiety and worry have destroyed my marriage. And I take most of the blame. so now I'm alone and terrified. I'm in a constant state of anxiety and I'm going to have to try antidepressants agiain or I'm going to lose my job because I just can't function in a day to day basis. I'm falling down a spiral that I'm afraid I won't ever come out of..someone please help me
