Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I don't know if this is helpful, but I remember feeling that way once around the time that my grandmother died. I went for weeks of being just numb and I was so sort of irritated at the fact that I didn't have any emotion. I finally decided to listen to a controversial radio show just to feel anger! And, yes, see your doctor and/or therapist. Good luck!!
If you are going to go through an emotionally dead phase, when they are young is the best time. You do have to make sure they're fed and watered, but I think a lot of mothers go through this period of growth while their children are very small, and that it must be okay because so many of us have gone through it.
I recommend trying to fill yourself up with sleep, and good nutrition, but also a hobby or passion of your own. You may feel there is nothing. Perhaps there were passions you had when younger. Painting, rock climbing, rap battles. heck I don't know. But whatever it is that gives you life, you need to find a way to put it into your life and keep it there.
Also: don't forget the Salvation Army. they won't immediately convert you, that's not how they operate. And they are there to change the world through good works: That's their mission. They work hard to save those in need. Call their community ministries and tell them your worries. I am sure someone will be able to help.
Catholic social services are also this way inclined. The main churches have outreach and care programmes for the people and you don't have to be a 'believer' or anything to gain benefit from this.
