Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Whenever I just think about my future, I basically just stop functioning. Everything about my life so far just screams that I'm not going to get anywhere in life. I know I won't. I'll get diabetes before I actually do something worthy of self-pride. (Probably won't take too long as it seems I'm eating myself to death)
I honestly don't know what to do at this point. My mum made me go to a support group for stress and now that it's over she thinks I'm perfectly fine. I'm really not. But I can't bear to tell her because I caused her so much pain through all of my troubles. I almost gave her a mental breakdown for Christ's sake!
I just need advice because I've hit a dead-end in my life and I've run out of choices to make. Please help.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Welcome aboard. Hope you find honest and optimistic companionship here.
But I understand and I'll try to get more support. I'm glad I found this website because I didn't know where to start trying to get help.
Thanks

Be gentle with yourself and be patient with the process.
I'm glad you found this website, too. It is a good place to start.
My mom was also a wreck during the peak of my disorder, but she said something to me that helped me not to blame myself for her sadness. She said, "I am not disappointed with you. I'm disappointed that there is nothing I can do for you except be there for you." And I think that is very true for a lot of parents with children who have a mental disorder. They are not mad at you, they are mad at the situation and the fact that there is really nothing they can do--they just feel hopeless. I think its worth talking to your mom and explaining to her that the only thing she can do is be there for you and that thats completely okay. It's not her fault and its not yours..
Are you on any medications for this? Do you have a psychiatrist? Maybe look into one on one therapy instead of group therapy. I found that one on one therapy had more results than group therapy. It's easier to be honest and open when its just one other person.
Feel free to message me! Sending hugs <3
It's hard to find support at any age, like arfie said. I reckon that's why so many people gravitate toward platforms like this. We're all seeking someone to understand. We're all trying our best to help people understand. You're not alone.
Let us support you through this time. That's what we're here for.
