Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Having said that, I take him out to pee, keep his food dish filled and water and take him to be groomed. I figured that, getting him was my idea so I'll look after him, besides I don't ask for help anyway and I'm home all day right now. I find that my dog makes me feel alot better when I'm sitting with him in my lap petting him. The training part with the newspapers at first and all the going outside to learn where to pee was kind of frustrating in the beginning but its great after about six months or so whenever the breed of dog learns.
My husband loves it when Franky greets him after work. The minute he walks through the door Franky jumps up and down and wants his attention. It's great to come home to a pet thats so happy to see you, and so excited. Dogs grow on you and are actually worse then kids at times except you don't have to get babysitters for them. Good luck in your efforts to sway your husband. Let us know if you were successful.

They get me outside to train them.
i have to spend time grooming and bathing, drying them.
Playing with them.
Having them snuggle in my chair or bed with me,,Its very theraputic feeling, calming.
Theres nothing like the look of love of those puppy eyes as you pet them.
Getting outside with them is good for you, it gets you active and involved with the outside world.
Helps you make freinds when you join a dog club.
The training is amazing, it makes you feel fantastic to this little thing that doesn,t even know not to pee on the floor to being fully trained and cooperative within a few short months.( Takes LOTS of PRACTICE AND PATIENCE ).
When they do something funny like chasing the light from flaslight or you sctratch a box so they do it or you growl and they do it back!
When they wag their tails and cover you in kisses when they are happy to see you!.
How could NONE OF THAT BE GOOD FOR YOU!!! IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
You will need a training crate, instemental in potty traing or when you cant watch.
THE ART OF RAISING A PUPPY; BY THE MONKS OF NEWSKETE! a FANTASTIC BOOK, i personally love it, gives you great insight into Dog Life And Behaviours And Why, is definately not a dry read.
Your husband wont regret keeping this puppy, before long he,ll rolling on ground with him playing!!!!.
GOOD LUCK!!!!
Let me know what happens, id lov to know!
Hugs!

I'm not giving up though! I'm gonna keep trying and hope that he'll just fall in love with lil Boomer!! He lives at our house right now as does my sister and her little daughter. She got him for free and isn't sure she wants to keep him, that's why I want him so bad. You grow attached quickly to these little guys!!!!
It's funny, I feel like a 5 year old begging her dad for a puppy- I promise I'll walk him and feed him and bathe him!!! LOL- thanks for all the help and suggestions. I'll keep trying and update you all later!
If you end up not being able to get a dog, check into fancy rats. They are really fun pets, they are clean, smart and very sweet. And you can put them in the cage when you're tired of them.

i've never had a dog before, and to be honest it wasnt somthing i was really thinking about! but i saw the advert for a litter of old english sheep dog puppies and somthing inside just clicked, like a gut feeling, i new it was a big decision and a massive commitment, but it just felt sooo right, i called the lady arranged to see the pups, myself and partner went to see them, there was 2 left, and we both just looked at the one with the black patch over his eye, and said 'this one'.
the rest is history! we took him home and it is the best decision i have ever made! i love him with all my heart! until you have a dog you cant imagine how much you will love and cherish it.
however, choose carefully the breed and size of dog you buy, ludo is the love of my life, but he is damm hard work, hes stubborn as a mule, stinks! digs up the garden, drips all over when he has a drink, jumps all over guests that to the house, drips poo all down his bottom! humps the sofa, an peoples legs, rolls on his back an turns to jelly if you want to move him and he dosnt want to, chews shoes, grabs stuff off the work tops! eats remote controls! etc etc . . . but for all his bad points, he has a million more good, and i dread the day that he goes to heaven, it will break my heart . . . .
sorry, never even mentioned my anxiety! but since i have had him my mental health has improved no end, he is a reason to get up in the morning, he is hard work, and very full on and highly strung, so no matter how bad i feel i have to get up and walk him, play with him, brush him, this might sound dramatic, but he has saved me! he stops me 'sinking' i have to be there for him, i cant just curl up and fall apart anymore when i'm 'not well' . . .
also theres like training classes to go to, you meet other people through them, gets you out an about, and it sooo rewarding to teach a dog somthing and make him understand you, its great!
i always say to him, 'take that dog suit off, i know your a real boy under that fur! i swear he is human!! everyone thinks i'm mad, but i just dont care! hes the best thing thats happened to me, and i wouldnt change him for the world!
i hope your hubby comes round to the idea! gud luck! xxx
