Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. I just started meds yesterday. Lorazepam... I can feel a difference already,
This website is BRILLIANT for anxiety sufferers. I read it almost every day. I'm in the middle of an anxiety cycle quite like yours and it's horrid. What does help a huge amount is medications (for me) and talking it out. I have this tendency to go in my head and that's where the danger starts for me. I stop talking and start scaring myself. I think what would help you most is to get a couple good nights sleep and try some meds that help you calm down enough to get your head on straight. (I'm talking like over just a couple days) after you can calm back down it's much easier to be rational. I've learned everything I know about anxiety from that website. They say once you find the core of your anxiety you need to work with it, once you do that, anxiety becomes very easy to manage, but until you get out of that fear cycle, it will just keep coming.
I also know that feeling of it being worse in the mornings. I woke up this morning almost in a complete panic attack. It makes me dread waking up.
Another thing that helps me is buddhist philosophy. They say "nothing lasts forever" which means that this WILL pass, it has too. It just feels awful while it's here :(
You can PM me anytime if you need someone to talk to :)
