Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

first of all,i am sorry you are struggling with this....
i can relate and i empathize.
i have been sitting here for about the last hour or so with a pounding heart, incredibly tense..
i know it is really not wise of me to have coffee in the morning, but i just refuse to give it up..
in the morning i find journalling, deep breathing, and prayer to be helpful, but there does come a point where i really feel i need to take a clonazepam to calm down.
i'm sorry,i guess i've not been very helpful here, but again,i'm sorry you are suffering with this, and please know you are not alone.
What helps me is .5 mg Klonopin on waking. I also take .5 mg Klonopin at around 4-5 in the evening. Benzodiazepines are magic for anxiety.
Barring pharmaceutical solutions, other possibilities are beginning a morning meditation and yoga practice, if you wake up early and have time for one or the other or both. Spending a little time doing sun salutations at the rising sun or sitting quietly and taking deep breaths can be very helpful on calming down the morning anxiety.
Also, and you probably know this, lay off the coffee if you are having morning anxiety. I know it's delicious and I love it too, but it will make the anxiety worse. Other solutions are a nice herbal tea or decaf.
