Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I can't think of anything to help so soon, but I would recommend instead of having 'emergency' anxiety medication, to get on a low dose of something that will lower your anxiety levels in general, but still give you some ups and downs. I say that because I found it helpful to know when things were going wrong for me, so that I could look into them, and have anxiety but not so badly, and slowly get stronger and braver over time.
Taking a pill in a crisis teaches you to take a pill in a crisis and just make the crisis go away. Lowering my general levels by 2/10 was a better outcome for me.
I get a lot of nausea and I find I can sometimes eat my way out of it by having a huge amount of food. Like baked beans, or cheese sandwiches. There is bound to be some food you can turn to when you have nausea that will quell it.
I guess what I'm saying is, if somebody came at you with a gun and said 'serve at the kitchen tomorrow or I shoot you' you'd find a way. What would you do to help yourself get through it? Do that.
For migraines I got a LOT out of chiropractic, stretching, hydration. Chiropractic has been key tbh.
I have done a lot of volunteering myself and fought through anxiety attacks after raising my pledge to do them. My pledge usually won out and I made it through it but only because the cause was something I felt strongly about. The ones I called in on, were ones that maybe to a degree I was volunteered for. I have migraines and bad headaches, I take enough meds to knock them down to a dull roar and do the deeds, then recover after.
I'm sorry your husband doesn't understand your fear and pain but that's because he doesn't have a reference to it. Pray he doesn't get one.
Hugs of support and hopes that your choices are upheld.
