Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Ok so I'm new to this. I feel like there is no one in my life that understands what I struggle with. I'm a smart, pretty, fun loving woman in my mid thirties. You'd think i would have plenty of friends, but I can't seem to connect with anyone. I am currently in recovery, am pregnant and am in a fairly new relationship. People tell me how happy I should be right now, but I'm constantly worrying. I'm driving myself nuts and wish I could just turn off a switch. I have been making a lot of improvements in my life l, but being newly clean, the anxiety/depression is creeping back into my life. My biggest worry right now, which is ridiculous, is that my SO is lying and cheating. The last relationship I was in was terrible. He was always looking for other women and I was very insecure. I don't know if that's where the majority of this worry stems from or if what I think is my "intuition", is guiding me in the right direction. It's almost debilitating to look into things. I literally cannot even look at his phone because I'm afraid of what I could potentially see. It's consuming my thoughts and there is so much more I should be focused on. Like my children, my health and my sobriety. I could really use some advice or someone who I can relate to.

The best antidepressant is when my wishes are honored. An example, the faucet in my apartment was running although the knobs were turned shut all the way, and one of the pulling strings on my ceiling fan came off. As soon as I notified my maintenance man, he was quick to reply with the work order. RAPID response... he's getting my services around my apartment done. I appreciate my landlord and...

Hello,so I'm currently in a weird relationship with my long distance ex who I've never met in person and it's taking a toll on me. I've lost 15 pounds and lost my appetite, but I'm really attached to him. We've had a lot of problems and I think that has caused me to gain severe anxiety. I don't know if I should wait until it gets better or what. Everytime I've blocked him, it has tend to make me...

As far as him being worth the pain, so to speak, there was a time a definitely thought he was. A time when he fought to keep me in his life, when I was the center of his world. Now, I barely get attention from him. He has his head buried in his laptop or phone 24/7 writing. I understand he's trying to follow a dream and make a life for out family, but his behavior towards me is a big change. He got me to open up emotionally and now when I try to talk to him he seems annoyed and doesn't have time. Doesn't initiate sex. I feel like something has changed and maybe a little rejected, but he says we're fine and he's doing this for us. Time will tell, I suppose.
I too have no friends but maybe two that I barely talk to let alone see. I suffer with a mild social anxiety since I stopped drinking only two years ago.
