Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
hi, my name is .denise Troy. I have essential tremors disease. It is much like Parkinson disease...my disease has moved into high gear and I have facial tremors , shoulder tremors, leg, arm, hand, fingers....you name it..it shakes. I wear weighted gloves to help keep the hands down...but when I go in public, I always worry that people Weill think i
,m a draggy because i.m shaking uncontrollably......I worry about what ebverupyine else is thinking all the time. Y husband has thicker skin and doesn’t think I should care....but it eats me alive...I worry about everything...which this why i,m on this board. They say my disease is one of the most embarrassing...up there with Parkinson disease......I also stutter...you see I have seizures...talk about getting embarrassed...have a seizure in the middle of Walmart...that.s embarrassing. And causes anxiety through the roof. So the stuttering makes me not even want to talk to people...but the books i,ve read, and my speach therapy say that it is important to speak and to try to stand tall and not be embarrassed. I start by explaining....I stutter because I have seizures so if you cannot understand me pls let me know...that usually helps me to feel better and helps take some of the anxiety out of the situation but it is so hard to get the stare things to say it. They know me at the back and grocery store so I no longer need to say it, and I have a service dog so he gets lots of nice anpttention and that helps calm the anxiety, but then I will walk out in the parking lot,and the anxiety will rise all over again...becaue I am tremoring alllocer and look a mess and I stutter so bad and I have this nice little dog and we look like a circus show.
ok, enough for now, if I can make one friend on here I will be thrilled.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

That said, I can only imagine how hard it is to keep explaining over and over again.
Supportive hugs, Patti
compared to your problems. But after the first two times seeing him it was normal. This persons hands shake. Doesn't matter to me.
Hope you feel safe venting about it here, DB. Welcome to the forum.
Key to managing medical conditions naturally (which anxiety is natural), is understanding we are responsible for what we say, do, and respond. Changing how we look at the medical condition, it does NOT define us as a person, it is a part of us, and venting safely in a place where your feelings are accepted as valued provides a measure of relief with the anxiety.
You are not alone with this. The biggest key with essential tremors is knowing they can go into remission.
Best wishes.
Yes, it is possible for remission. It takes determination, courage, and being able to keep a daily journal to help you find the patterns for your self.
You are not alone.
Denise
You'll find your way through this.
It's good to know now, cause it can pass to baby thru placenta or breast milk.
Best wishes
